John Davies
John DaviesTeam Rector
Born in Liverpool in 1962, I grew up in a house on the banks of the Mersey. My varied working life has included an engineering apprenticeship, welder, draughtsman, volunteer in an outdoor pursuits centre, unemployment, civil servant, computer programmer, community worker, freelance journalist and now a Church of England vicar serving six rural Somerset parishes.
I graduated in English from Cardiff University, and trained for ministry at Ridley Hall, Cambridge. Prior to arriving in Queen Camel in 2014 I served parishes in inner-city, suburban and outer-estate Liverpool, and rural Devon and Cheshire.
I married Diana in 2009 and have five (grown-up) stepchildren. I am an Evertonian, a keen walker and writer, and author of Walking the M62 and Devon Sermons.

Rose HoskinsAssociate Priest
Born in Portsmouth in 1956 my family moved to Somerset when I was small. I studied photography and worked in the photographic trade for several years and later in a Christian bookshop. Having spent several years as a youth leader working with teenagers, in 1983 I was licensed as a Reader in the parishes of West Coker, East Chinnock, Hardington Mandeville and Pendomer.
I was ordained Priest in 2003 having trained at Sarum College. During my curacy I was appointed Archdeaconry Warden of Readers. I arrived in Cam Vale in 2006. I have been Rural Dean of Bruton and Cary Deanery for 5 years and in 2010 I was made a Prebendary of Wells Cathedral. I have been married to Alan for 31 years, together we enjoy music, cinema, cooking, walking and photography.
