Weston Bampfylde enjoys a Great Get Together

Thirty people of all ages enjoyed a Great Get Together BBQ in the small village of Weston Bampfylde on Saturday 17th June. The evening started with a prayer and Pimms in the churchyard where the Revd Rose led the community in a short reflection about Jo Cox and the thought that there is far more that unites us than divides us. We also had a silence in which we remembered the victims of the recent terrible fire at Grenfell towers. All then walked across the field to the Village Hall where Rob [our chef for the evening] cooked a wonderful feast supplemented by salads and desserts.  A good time was had by all on a beautiful evening as we gave thanks for and celebrated all the things that make for great community.
